In August 2002, Summit Management Group, Inc. began developing and managing properties in Western Montana.  Continuing growth led to the creation in October 2007 of our subsidiary companies, for property management, Highland Property Management, Inc., and for project development, Summit Housing Group, Inc.  As of December 2016, Summit and its subsidiaries employ 44 people and have developed and currently manage 23 Low Income Housing Tax Credit ("LIHTC") projects (1026 units) in Montana, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming, utilizing $141,513,250 of awarded tax credits.
Summit Housing Group was formed in 2007 and is wholly-owned by Summit Management Group. Summit Housing Group is the entity that researches and develops LIHTC and market rate projects. This includes taking a project from the conceptual stage through awarding of tax credits (for LIHTC projects), negotiating agreements with equity investors and lenders, construction, and final hand-off to the property management company.

Property Management
Highland Property Management manages several apartment styles in a diverse collection of communities across Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, and Utah. Focusing on multi-family affordable housing, Highland provides tax credit housing (LIHTC) and market rate communities for families and seniors (55+).  Highland Property Management’s goal is to effectively manage and provide quality housing to our residents while satisfying the objectives of our property owner clients. Highland’s team is dedicated to providing the highest level of customer service to our residents. This keeps our communities thriving and helps assure the security of client investments.
