Summit Management Group, Inc., formed in August 2002, is the parent company of its wholly owned subsidiaries Summit Housing Group, Inc. and Highland Property Management, Inc., both of which were formed in October 2007.
Summit Housing Group finds and develops LIHTC and market rate projects. This includes taking a project from the conceptual stage, through awarding of tax credits (for LIHTC projects), negotiating agreements with equity investors and lenders, construction, and final hand-off to the property management company.
Summit Management Group and/or Summit Housing Group have completed development of twenty-three LIHTC projects (1026 units) in Montana, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming. Currently, Summit Housing Group is developing eight projects, containing 548 units (LIHTC and mixed/market-rate), three of which are under construction and five in the planning and development stages. Centennial Place Apartments will be Summit's first development in Colorado.
Highland Property Management provides property management service for all of the projects developed by Summit Housing Group as well as third-party property owners.KEY PERSONNEL

In 2002, Scott formed Summit Management Group to develop affordable rental housing using the LIHTC program. Scott's history in development is extensive and diverse ranging from high end townhomes, single family developments, and commercial developments. Scott brought his expertise for financial investments with him from his S.G. Long & Company, Inc. where he is the Chairman of the NASD registered broker/dealer organization. Scott's previous involvement with the University of Montana as a visiting instructor in Finance and his time as Chairman of the Board & CEO of Bitterroot Wood Products, Inc. gives Summit Management Group an excellent leader in the field of finance and management of the company.
Scott received his Bachelor of Arts from Dallas Baptist University, Dallas TX in 1974 and his Masters of History of Economics from the University of Montana, Missoula MT in 1981.

Patrick has worked with Summit Management Group, Inc., the parent company, since its inception in August, 2002 and initially led its Affordable Housing project development and management departments until Summit’s later acquiring additional personnel to specifically manage each department.
Prior to joining Summit, Patrick spent 26 years in Alaska working as the Controller/Safety Director of a fish processor plant in Kenai, the Controller/General Manager of a village native corporation in Galena, and as a Certified Public Accountant in Anchorage.
Patrick received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Major in Accounting from the University of North Dakota, has been a CPA since 1978 and holds a C13P and HCCP designation.
Nathan joined Summit Management Group, Inc. in March 2013. Before joining Summit, Nathan spent ten years working in public accounting. He specialized in cost certifications, construction accounting, and partnership tax returns. He also has substantial experience in providing assistance for housing authority audits, syndication issues, and tax credit training. Nathan has been involved with over 150 tax credit projects and has over 15 years of accounting experience in the private and public sectors.
Nathan graduated from The University of Montana with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Accounting in 1998, a Master of Accountancy in 2004, and has been a CPA since 2004.
