In December 2003, Summit Management Group, Inc. began developing and managing properties in Western Montana.  Continuing growth led to the creation of Highland Property Management, Inc. and in October 2007 our development partner, Summit Housing Group, Inc.  Currently, Summit and its subsidiaries employ 26 people and have developed and manage 16 Low Income Housing Tax Credit ("LIHTC") projects (726 units) and one market rate project (28 units) in Montana and Wyoming.
Development
Summit Housing Group was formed in 2007 and is wholly-owned by Summit Management Group. Summit Housing Group is the entity that finds and develops LIHTC and market rate projects. This includes taking a project from the conceptual stage, through awarding of tax credits (for LIHTC projects), negotiating agreements with equity investors and lenders, construction, and final hand-off to the property management company.
Property Management
Highland Property Management manages several apartment styles in a diverse collection of communities across Montana and Wyoming. Focusing on multi-family affordable housing, Highland provides tax credit housing (LIHTC) and market rate communities for families and seniors (55+).  Highland Property Management’s goal is to effectively manage and provide quality housing to our residents while satisfying the objectives of our property owner clients. Highland’s team is dedicated to providing the highest level of customer service to our residents. This keeps our communities thriving and helps assure the security of client investments.
